Kaleb and Edna she tragedies that happened around Christmas in common. They are hurt and at a loss of what is next in their lives. When she comes into Kaleb’s store disrupting things it sets a tone for their relationship because she is hired as a part-time staffer at the store and being close together have them getting to know each other. Has fate placed these two injured souls together to heal and will it lead them to happiness.

The story brings Edna and Kaleb together from meeting each twice. The first time they meet, they do not actually introduce themselves, rather it was an accident Edna turned into her somewhat bullying Kaleb for being “mean” to her when she had destroyed expensive products in his business. The second time they meet, Edna and her cousin work for Kaleb’s Merry Hearts after a sudden order shows up.
To be honest, the interactions between Kaleb and Edna seemed very teenage dream style. They didn’t seem to know what to say to each other. At the end it was like they both had a dream come true after they sit at dinner. It was like someone snapped and they were real adults that just went for it. I feel like the end could have started the epilogue with a bit to follow.
The story was really building well, then it was like a cliff jump towards the end as if the author was just done writing about them.
It is an easy read if you are looking for a Christmas story.

Kaleb owns a store and when Edna stops by, their meeting is anything but cute. Later, she ends up working part time for him and they start to see what is behind the facades they hold to the world. Both had terrible holiday surprises that hold them back from relationships. Can they make a relationship work? Totally enjoyed the characters, the chemistry and banter and they greet the holiday season with a new outlook. Well done.

Edna and Kaleb do not get off to a very good start in this enemies to lovers story. Both have things in their pasts they have to overcome in order to enjoy the Christmas season and find a happy ending. I enjoyed seeing the twist and turns they went through in order to do so.
Kimberly Dawn –
A cute read. Edna and Kaleb start off on the wrong foot but she starts working for him part time, they start to see what the other hides behind the tough exterior.

This book has the potential to be really good. I had a hard time following along. It felt rushed and some areas seemed to not fit into the story for me. The characters could be so cute but who comes to visit family for said family to just dip. Booksprout is where I started reading but realized some of the chapters there were not the whole chapter. I downloaded and read again and that helped fill in somewhat but still did not bring the whole story together for me.
Sara Barnett –
I could not get into this book – and I tried. No chemistry between the characters. Overall, just did not like anything about the book.
