Emily, an Artist/Teacher moves to a Small Town in the Pacific Northwest to escape the Heartbreak of a previous relationship. Her friend, Lily introduces her around Town. But neither is expecting Emily’s Explosive Meeting with William, at the Town Hall Event. I like the nicknames for William (Will) aka The Silver Fox and Emily aka Sunflower! The relationship between William and Emily have the Town Rumor Mill going Wild and William’s two grown children are not happy with their relationship. Will’s Son, James is the first to come around and accept the relationship, but his Daughter, Sarah is definitely a larger stumbling block. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who enjoys a nice Clean Romance. No spoilers now, but definitely read this Book to read how William’s and Emily’s relationship develops!

I received an ARC Book from the Author, but this is my voluntary and honest Review. I hope to read more books from Maria Barnett.

Great book must read. It was addicted and it was a page turner and the suspense sizzling age gap romance. I was at the edge of my seat and I could not stop reading it. I enjoyed this story so much and I fell in love with the characters. Emily was hard woman who was a teacher and she need to a new change in her life. Her friend Lily went out one night until she meet a old man name William. This age gap romance was breathtaking romance and their chemistry was smoking hot and their attraction for one another physical tension. Love was in the air for them and they were tempted with lust in their eyes. I highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed. I am voluntarily leaving a honest review. Trina Jones

I enjoyed reading this book about a young woman who falls in love with an older man who happens to be her boss. The story is well-written, engaging, and realistic. The characters are likable, relatable, and have great chemistry. The romance is sweet and steamy, with some funny moments and emotional twists. The author does a good job of portraying the challenges and benefits of an age gap relationship, as well as the small town setting. The book is not too long or too short, and it has a satisfying ending. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes contemporary romance with a touch of humor. It is a standalone book, but it is part of a series that features other couples from the same town. I look forward to reading more books by this author.

This is the first time I have ever given a book a one star.
I was disappointed after reading the blurb for this book. There were quite a lot of grammar errors which I would have overlooked if the story itself had redeemed that, but unfortunately it did not. For me there was no excitement. I kept reading waiting for that moment but it never came. Even the ending had no spark.
There were also several chapters that repeated which I also overlooked but still could only give 1 star.

This was a age gap of dreams for me. William and Emily were such a fun couple. William was a hopeless romantic and so sweet. He treated Emily so well and never forgot about his late wife. He had a way with words. The plot was interesting I did love the twist during the birthday chapter. I didn’t expect that to happen. There was no spice in this book but it was a sweet romance.

I love how realistic it is. From how much gossip spreads fast in a small town, and how the male lead’s adult kids are not ready to accept someone who is close to their age for their father. Falling in love is not all bed of roses, and their journey to finding happiness was well worth it.

  8. Ilona

I liked that it was different. Age gap yet clean romance.

The twist was also shocking, so unexpected.

And his kids’ reactions were very realistic. Love that they got their HEA.

Got this from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

  9. Marichus Real

William is a retired biologist, a widower and has two children around twenty years old.
Emily is a teacher who has moved to a new place after a heartbreak.
The story has potential, but the writing is boring with so many thoughts and repetitions. The beginning of their story was too quick for my liking. What I mean is that he was thinking of his wife, met Emily and kissed her passionately.
I rated it three stars because some parts of the book were nice.

  10. Felicia Seay

I loved the title and the synopsis for this book. It is a sweet, yet challenging love story. However, it needs editing. Chapters 16 through 19 are a repeat from the previous chapters in the book. Overall it’s a clean age-gap romance short story.

  11. Robin Outer

I’m sorry I really tried but I couldn’t even finish the book. The way it was worded was and the way the characters were speaking was ridiculous.Everytime they spoke they said each other’s name no matter the situation.I was getting sick of William and Emily’s names. The dialog was like they were reading off of a script. No chemistry at a ll.Sorry just my opinion.I usually love age gap omyw but this one didn’t do it for me.
