Description

In the peaceful town of Redwood Ridge, where the fast pace of city life slows down and nature takes over, a heartwarming small town romance unfolds in Hearts and Paws. This story captures the essence of small town romance tropes and takes readers on a journey with two people who, despite carrying the weight of their pasts, discover love and healing in a close-knit community.

Cade, the local veterinarian, is well-known and loved in Redwood Ridge for his compassion and dedication to the animals he cares for. Though he seems calm and strong, Cade hides a heart burdened by pain. His life has been deeply shaped by the loss of his sister, who struggled with autism before her untimely death. This loss left a lasting scar on Cade’s heart, and while he remains a supportive figure in the community, he keeps his own emotions locked away, afraid of being hurt again.

Avery, a strong and determined single mother, arrives in Redwood Ridge with her daughter, Hailey, seeking a fresh start. Avery’s life has been challenging, but her fierce love for Hailey and her desire to provide a better future push her forward. Hailey, with her unique and joyful way of seeing the world, brings new energy to the town, and it doesn’t take long for the townspeople to embrace both Avery and Hailey.

When Cade and Avery meet, the chemistry between them is undeniable. Despite the emotional walls Cade has built, Avery’s strength and vulnerability pull him in, while Avery is drawn to Cade’s quiet strength and kindness. Their growing bond is a classic example of small town romance, where two people with painful pasts find love and healing in each other’s arms. As their feelings deepen, Cade’s guarded heart slowly begins to open up, although the shadows of his past still linger.

Avery’s arrival in Redwood Ridge shakes up Cade’s world in unexpected ways. Her openness and dedication to her daughter challenge Cade to confront the emotions he’s been hiding for years. The loss of his sister has been a wound that never fully healed, but as Avery and Hailey become more involved in his life, Cade starts to realize that healing and love are possible. Avery’s presence forces him to reevaluate his future and believe in redemption and the power of love once more.

Hearts and Paws also fits perfectly into the category of steamy small town romance books. As Cade and Avery’s connection deepens, the tension between them builds, and their relationship becomes both passionate and emotional. But this story isn’t just about romance. Rather it is about two people learning to trust again, letting go of their painful pasts, and opening their hearts to a future filled with love and happiness.

In Redwood Ridge, where the townspeople share their stories and lives as freely as the mountain breeze, Cade and Avery’s love story becomes a central part of the community. This is a town where tradition and heartache meet hope and new beginnings, and as their relationship blossoms, Cade and Avery must find a way to balance the difficult memories of their pasts with the promising possibilities of their future.

Avery, who has faced her own share of heartache, brings a renewed sense of hope into Cade’s life. Her daughter, Hailey, with her boundless energy and joyful spirit, serves as a constant reminder that even after life’s hardships, there’s always room for new beginnings. Cade and Avery’s relationship deepens into something much more profound than either of them expected, as they help each other heal and move forward from their personal struggles.

For readers seeking great books to read on Kindle, Hearts and Paws is a perfect choice. It beautifully combines some of the best romance book tropes emotional healing, second chances, and finding love in unexpected places. This steamy small town romance shows how love can transform lives, especially when two people are willing to let go of their past and embrace the future together.

In the end, Cade and Avery must decide if they are ready to fully open their hearts to each other. Will Cade’s guarded heart find peace in Avery’s love? Can their blossoming relationship create a bright future filled with hope and happiness? Hearts and Paws offers readers a touching and emotional journey through love, loss, and the courage it takes to embrace new beginnings in the peaceful yet life-changing world of Redwood Ridge.

A pleasant small town romance. Cade and Avery are nice people and I enjoyed reading their story very much.

  2. Betty

This book had numbers instead of letters, odd words , tried hard to read but after about 5 or 6 chapters I gave up. Do not know if this was on purpose, translated from another language or what but gave up on it.

  3. JL Williams

I really wanted to read this book but it needs editing. There are so many words replaced with odd letters or numbers that I did not get past chapter 2 because I was so annoyed. I could easily figure out what the word was supposed to be but I read to enjoy and relax my brain. Sorry, I could not finish but after it is fixed I would be happy to re-visit it.

Avery and Cade had different struggles through life.

In the prologue, Cade’s little sister was autistic along with heart defects little to be know until it is too late. Cade was the only one home as a teenager and his parents expected him to be more like a caregiver when they were out. He lived with this struggle through his life hoping to not make the mistake that was not at his fault.

Avery with a broken marriage based on her husband’s response after learning their daughter was autistic. With Hailey by her side they left London for a small town to be in a smaller quieter area without the terrible negativity on Hailey by her biological father’s family.

Avery and Cade’s story is heart warming and drew me in from the prologue through the epilogue!.

  5. KRP

Avery and Hailey move away from her ex-husband who had no qualms in giving up his daughter because she wasn’t perfect in his eyes. When Avery was offered a job at the local vet’s office, would she take it or not. She had Hailey to consider first but got her in kindergarten to see how she would do. So far it was going well and the doctor was very nice, kind and not bad on the eyes either, would this turn out to be ore than she bargained for but in a blessed way?

  6. Kate

I enjoyed reading about Avery & Cade as they met and became close. It was fun having pets in the story too as well as Hailey.

Definitely a heart warming, small town romance. I think the chemistry between Avery and Cade fell just a tad short. But the storyline was a good one.

It is small town sweet romance with vet doctor so if you like story where the animals take a big role you might want to check this one.
    The beginning is very dramatic
“ “Her radiant smile was a fragile yet beautiful one. It was also the last smile.”
For clarity, his sister has Down syndrome and this line is about her and how this affects H and his future you need to keep reading.

  13. Marichus Real

Avery moves to a new place with her little daughter after her husband doesn’t accept the little one because she is not perfect for him.
Cade is a vet who has his proper story about autism as his little sister was autistic.
The prologue was very emotional. The story was emotional too with all the suffering of the animals who have been abandoned. Lucky for them, there still were people who cared for them. I loved Hailey and Bear, they were so sweet together.
    A very entertaining story.

Sometimes a shared or similar experience in life shapes your relationships. This is true for the characters in this book. I love how it delicately tackled how autism impacts our families.
